Summer Fun List + Giveaway

edited 4I recently paired up with Bearpaw (see herehere and here) and I am VERY excited about doing my first giveaway in collaboration with them. I have to be honest, I never thought of Bearpaw as a brand that I would wear but when they reached out to me and showed me some of their Spring/Summer collection, I totally fell in love. They have a lot of great sandals and wedges for summertime and the best part is that they are SUPER comfortable.

In this outfit, I paired their Danica espadrilles with one of my favorite summertime skirts (also seen here in one of my first posts). Sometimes I wish I could insert emojis into my posts because I could so use the blushing face right now.

Anyways, Summer is one of my favorite times of year because there are just so many fun things to do. Especially in the Bay Area, where the options are endless. For example, this month I have gone paddle boarding in the bay, wine tasting in Napa, jet skiing in Tahoe and will be attending a music festival at Golden Gate Park. There really are endless activities to do around here and Bearpaw has the MOST comfortable shoes for all of these occasions. Follow my Instagram for updates on all my Summer outings.

Below is my “Summer Fun List” of all the fun things I like to do during the Summer. I am also giving away one pair of Bearpaw shoes (your choice) from their Spring/Summer collection for one lucky winner to enjoy during their Summer activities! See below for what you need to do in order to win! And Happy Summer!

My Summer Fun List:

  • Go for a hike (Marin Headlands)
  • Swim (@ my parents house)

Apologies in advance for the long post!

Well… It looks like I took another short hiatus from the blog. It always breaks my heart a little bit when I have to do that because I truly enjoy editing my photos, writing my posts and just overall blogging. What I’ve been up to- I had an amazing 4th of July weekend is Fresno! Yes, I said Fresno. A friend of mine grew up there so a group of 15 of us went down for the weekend to swim, set off fireworks, BBQ, and of course get competitive with drinking games and a little Cards Against Humanity. So, after that trip I had a lot of (real) work to catch up on and not enough time to devote to my blog.

I am also redoing my bedroom right now which is a bit time consuming! Stay tuned for a post on how to redecorate on a budget!

Anyways- a bit about this outfit. This dress is actually a hand-me-down from my Sister! Score! I have to say I am pretty blessed with a Sister who has amazing style and is a huge inspiration of mine when it comes to clothing. She is also a hairdresser and cosmetologist so it doesn’t hurt to have someone to teach me new techniques.

Happy Friday Thursday! Since tomorrow is holiday I am definitely already in Friday mode and ready for the holiday weekend. I am heading out of town in a few hours for a weekend away with some friends and I couldn’t be more excited. All I plan to do is swim, relax and hopefully get a tan! What is your favorite part about the 4th of July? I am excited for the road trip, BBQs, swimming, fireworks and so much more.

Have a great 4th and stay safe!

The Farmer’s Market

Happy Thursday! One more day until the weekend! Speaking of the weekend- one of my favorite things to do on Saturday or Sunday morning is head to one of the many local farmer’s markets.

San Franciscan’s love to eat locally and we have a LOT of amazing farmer’s markets all throughout the city. One of my favorites is the Ferry Building Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning (also on Tues/Thurs at lunchtime). I usually pick up some fresh fruit and veggies for the week and some flowers to keep in my apartment. I also love the Fort Mason Farmers Market on Sunday mornings since it is close to my apartment. If you are fortunate enough to have a car in this city (I do, and it’s a pain in the ass butt) then the Marin Farmer’s Market is amazing and highly recommend going. Hands down one of the best farmer’s market I have ever been too!

This outfit is perfect for a sunny Saturday morning. It’s casual with flat sandals and hat for some sun protection.

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was fantastic. I had a birthday BBQ on Saturday and yesterday I went to a bar to watch the USA vs. Portugal game. OMG. What an intense game! After the game, I cooked dinner with a few friends followed by an evening of mini golf at San Francisco’s new Urban Putt. It was AWESOME! edited 7edited 5edited 2edited 6edited 1edited 3edited 8

Happy Monday! So, I am currently on the 21 Day Fix (Day 8) and I have to say I feel so refreshed and energized after this weekend. Normally after a weekend of indulging (food, alcohol, sweets, etc.) I feel like Monday is time to to reset and get back on track for the week. However, I had a very low key weekend full of healthy food and exercise and I am feeling better than ever! I can’t wait to see what the next 13 days have in store!

This outfit was perfect for a low key weekend. It was the North Beach Festival in San Francisco and the world cup. I planned to wear these shorts as I’ve had them for a while and it was such a nice day. I felt a little casual so I dressed them up with a blazer and my amazingly comfortable Bearpaw wedges.

Thigh High Boots

Happy Friday everyone!

Nothing makes me happier than making it to the end of the week. Anyways, I’ve had these thigh-high boots for probably about two years and I love them. I actually wanted them so bad but they were sold out at Nordstroms and at Report Signature Online. So, in a last attempt of desperation I went on Amazon and found one pair left that happened to be my size. I figured it was meant to be and I bought them! One reason they are super unique is because most thigh-high or over-the-knee boots have a heel while these are flat. I wear them out at night a LOT because my feet don’t kill my by the end of the night but they still have that dressed up Friday night look to them!

Crochet Shorts

Happy Hump Day! I picked up these lovely crochet shorts on my recent trip to Chicago. The best part is they were half off! I love when I find a good deal. The thing I love about them is that they are very versatile. I have worn them with a black blouse (seen here) and pumps for a more dressed up look but I have also dressed them down a bit with sandals or flats. I have a feeling they will be getting a lot of use this Summer!

Orange Tribal Maxi

We had amazing weather this weekend in San Francisco! On top of that- it was the Union Street Festival which is an annual street fair in my neighborhood. So- I threw on a maxi and Panama hat to partake in the festivities. I LOVE this maxi dress. I love the empire waist with braiding detail. I also love the length. I am tall (5’9) so it’s hard to find maxis that are long enough but this one is perfect!

Happy Friday! Maybe it is because I had a really hectic few weeks of travel but I feel like this week dragged and I can’t wait for this weekend’s festivities! It’s festival season in San Francisco so this weekend I’ll be heading out to the Union Street Festival on Saturday and up to Napa for a little wine tasting on Sunday. Be sure to follow my Instagram for live updates on that!

Anyways- in this post I wanted to talk about a staple in my closet- the Little Black (Work) Dress. As you may know, I am a marketer by day and blogger by night. I always try to buy pieces that I can wear to work but can easily transition into happy hour or dinner afterwards. I’ve had this black dress for a long time and have worn it to the office and to multiple work functions. The length is definitely pushing it for the office so I pair it with a low heel. At the office I threw on a blazer and flats. After work, I wore strappy sandals (kept at my desk) and a clutch to dress the look down a bit for drinks!
